Nande-Khera
Showcase Farm Project
Commissioned by the Shergill family - third-generation British Indians - Nande-Khera Farm is transforming ancestral land in Punjab into something truly extraordinary. Once a wheat–rice paddy worn down by decades of industrial agriculture, the farm is now a living example of regenerative farming, restoring native ecology while supporting local livelihoods.
Designed around The Sikh Kara, a symbol of faith, unity, and discipline, the farm carries a unique identity that reflects the family’s commitment. Working with Freedom Organics, age-old techniques in permaculture and agroforestry are combined with modern innovations in renewables and crop monitoring, creating a model farm that inspires local farmers, nurtures the community, and offers a family paradise for younger generations to reconnect with their roots.
Nande-Khera Farm is more than land - it’s a beacon of what’s possible when heritage, sustainability, and innovation come together.
